"Beautiful, calm and sanctuary like lake. Plenty of stocked fish, abundant amount of wildlife including birds, reptiles, fish and more. Peaceful place to paddle or kayak on your own or with friends. Water is clear (deep in certain areas) and calm allowing a kayaker or paddle boarder at any level to enjoy this fishery. Very large can spend hours if you like touring around the water to see what it has to offer. Highly recommend visiting. Plenty of parking and docking areas. Well kept and maintained!"

"Great park for all kinds of recreational activities and within several minutes from downtown Cedar Rapids. Paths are great for walking, running, or cycling. Waters are calm and perfect for canoeing or kayaking. Plenty of fishing spots that offer solitude. Dog loves going on walks here. Paths are ADA compliant and very accessible from the parking lot."

"The Willis Dady Race was held here. I have never been out here prior to this but it is beautiful. The path is paved and it makes a huge difference. Dog friendly as long as a leash is on. People seem to take good care of this as many had their dogs but left no evidence of this to be stepped in."

"Took my new kayak here during the week. Was a nice little pond/lake and was able to navigate quite well. Fishing was not so great but the river had just created into the lake and the water was super muddy and blown out. Still a great little hot spot for in town fishing."

"Old quarry transformed into a fishing site and walking/biking path. The path is 1.8 miles long with small hills on the west west half and flat on the east half. Path connects to Sac-Fox Trailer. Lots of parking. Eagles. Trout. Close to the Cedar River."

"Had a fun, relaxing walk with family. Great place to visit to get out into nature. It’s fun to take pictures of the plants while you walk, use the (PictureThis app) & learn what they are."

"Beautiful 2 mile paved trail around lake. Great for kayaks! We didn't get into any seaweed while fishing and our whole group caught a fish and lots of bites! Little gem of nature IN town!"
